Every child brings unique strengths and ways of engaging with the world. This session explores how temperament influences behavior, interactions, and learning experiences—and how understanding these differences helps educators create environments where all children feel supported and valued. Participants will learn what temperament is, why it matters, and how the concept of Goodness of Fit promotes positive outcomes. We’ll cover the nine temperament traits, three temperament types, and practical strategies for anticipating challenges and fostering trust. By focusing on responsive, strength-based practices, educators will gain tools to build collaborative relationships with children and families, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to succeed.
