Thai Ray Williams is a professor at Utah State University where she teaches preservice teachers courses on explicit instruction and curriculum and assessment for students with complex support needs (CSN). Thai's research focuses on academic instruction for students with CSN, with a focus on writing instruction, and the integration of evidence-based practices, high leverage practices, Universal Design for Learning and Indigenous pedagogy to teach culturally-sustaining skills to Native American students with disabilities. She was a special education teacher for 32 years, is a person with a disability, and is the parent of a child who is twice exceptional.
